A Trip Around the World
It is a night of music, performances, and interactive country exhibits. Kids will learn about different countries and sample foods from around the world!
A family or a group of families can host a country. Each country needs a lead parent as a point of contact. As a host, you can display art, crafts, traditional clothing, and other things that represent your country’s traditions. You can do slide shows or play music if you are getting a separate room. Kids love food samples (a bit size is good enough). We welcome you to bring sample foods to share with others as long as you label the ingredients clearly in case of any dietary constraints or allergies
At the end of the evening, we do an hour-long cultural program. Families (kids and parents) can perform a dance that is customarily performed in your country.
Currently, following countries have replied. To make the night full of fun, and allow kids to have chance to explore diversity of cultures, we need your help to host a country.

- Israel

Young Author’s Templates
Every year the CES PTA offers each student the opportunity to “publish” a book. Students write their own creative story, type it into a template, cut and paste the story into a blank book, and then illustrate their book. All parents are invited to a grade-wide Young Authors Tea to celebrate their child’s accomplishment. The Young Authors tradition has given students not only a useful lesson in creative writing and project completion, but also a keepsake of their literary development at CES.
The 2017 templates are available for download via the links below.
The 5th Grade Young Author’s Tea will be held Thursday, April 6, at 3 pm
-
