2019-2020 PTA Reflections Program
The PTA Reflections Program is a wonderful opportunity for students to enjoy and share their artistic talents by creating original artwork that reflects on this year’s theme, “Look Within”. Students can choose to take a picture, write a poem or story, create a piece of visual art, choreograph a dance, compose a song, or produce a film that shares their ideas of who they are and how they view the world around them. Entries will be selected to advance to the county, state, or even national level.
Details for getting started can be found on the PTA website at http://www.cespta.net/reflections-program. A copy of the Reflections filer, official rules and entry form will be delivered to each student through their homeroom teacher this week.
Entries are due by Monday, November 18, 2019. (Please drop your art work & the filled-out entry form in the “Reflection Box” located at the school Main Office.
Please contact Meng Zhu and Jodie Wang at cespta.reflections@cespta.net with any questions.
LAST DAY TO SIGN UP: Oct. 18th
No commitment or expectations required, you’re just simply showing your support for our great students, school, parents, and staff. The PTA needs to start printing up the directories of the PTA members, so the last day to sign up is Friday, October 18th.
Sign up here.
If you wish to use a check, please send a piece of paper that includes the name of your child and his/her teacher along with a check. Please send it with your child in an envelope marked “CES PTA membership”.
Individual – $15 – for one ADULT member of your household
Dual – $25 – for two ADULT members of your household
When you join, please also consider making a COUGAR PATRON DONATION. 100% of your donation will be used to fund programs at our school! Clarksville E.S. PTA is a 501(c)(3) corporation, donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Thank you for your support!
The Cougar Patron program is a fundraising drive designed to help defray the cost of the many activities and programs sponsored and run by the Clarksville Elementary School (CES) PTA.
We have heard from many families that they prefer writing one check to support their children instead of selling candles, gift wrap, cookies, etc. In fact, this program was so successful last year that we are eliminating all other fundraising.
In addition to your membership, we are asking families for a minimum donation of $50 per child (beyond the membership dues) to support our kids and maintain our current level of programming. The best part is 100% of your money stays at CES, your donation is tax-deductible and you don’t have to sell anything!
The money raised supports many important programs at CES including:
Back to School Welcome Ice Cream Social
Family Fun Run
International Night
Pizza Bingo
Spring Fling
Many More…
Next PTA meeting: Oct. 22

Lots to do!
Happy first week of the school year. The PTA hopes you and your children are off to a great start. The PTA collects membership to fund additional educational and enrichment programs WITHOUT fundraisers like selling wrapping paper or candy bars. Please help your kids by getting your membership here.
5th grade parents: Looking forward to your child’s last year of elementary school? Me neither, not without crying. But at least the kids will have fun this year. This link is how to fund their fun year.
Your kids should have come home with after-school registration forms today. If they left them at school, or just didn’t get them, not to worry!! Here are all the descriptions and membership forms! Don’t forget to check out the county’s offerings, too!
Your executive committee is thrilled to work with you this year. Our first meeting is September 10th! 7PM in the media center.
Most of the meetings will be the second Tuesday of the month. The next meeting is October 8th.
