Program description:
How creative can you be with your lunch? Take the Rube Goldberg Challenge, competing against other teams from around the country. Students will work in teams to transform everyday materials into a wacky innovative
machine that accomplishes the given task of building a lunchable. However, instead of just “solving” the problem, students are charged with making the solution as complicated and convoluted as possible! While designing

BOOK DONATIONS NEEDED
The Media Center is accepting gently used Picture Books in other world languages and Board Books in English. Book donations may be dropped off in the front office.
The Media would like to add a section of picture books in various world languages such as Chinese, Korean, Spanish, etc.! We would love for students to see their native language represented in the library. If you have any new or gently used picture books in other languages, please donate in the front office.
In addition, the Media would like to expand their collection of board books for our ALS students who would benefit from thicker pages. Please donate new or gently used! Any childhood themes are welcome!
ALS Donations
The ALS Department would love donations of the following (good condition items only please). Donations may be dropped off and labeled with Mr. O’Hara’s name on them.
See the below message from Homewood:
“More than 90% of Homewood students qualify for Free and Reduced Meals and we do not have a PTA. We need new items to stock our Treasure Sale so our kids can use their hard-earned grades to “purchase” holiday gifts for their loved ones. Thank you for supporting our Homewood Family! This year, we need our friends, families, and community more than ever. We have a goal to collect over 1,000 new items using the Homewood Treasure Sale Wish List. Amazon will ship your donation directly to Homewood Center. Thank you for making this a special December to remember!!”
