Every year each student is given the opportunity to “publish” a book. Students write their own creative story, type it into a template, cut and paste the story into a blank book, and then illustrate their book. All parents are invited to a grade-wide Young Authors Tea to celebrate their child’s accomplishment. The Young Authors tradition has given students not only a useful lesson in creative writing and project completion, but also a keepsake of their literary development at CES.
