Spring After School Programs 2022

  • Registration is LIMITED to a first-come, first-serve basis for all activities.
  • Registration is due March 4, 2022
  • Masks are required – No Exceptions

Cool Crafts

Students will have fun making arts and crafts using a variety of materials.

Teachers: Mrs. Stone and Mrs. Koroleva

Up, Up and Away: Building your own Rockets!

Do you want to learn what makes a rocket soar into the sky? Do you want to design your own rockets propelled in different ways? Grab your space helmet and get ready to learn about rocketry. Students in this class will experiment with different methods of propulsion to learn about how to make a rocket fly. They will get to create their own basic rockets and watch them soar into the sky. Get ready to blast off!

Note: Students will need to provide 2 empty and clean 2-liter soda bottles.

When: 6 sessions – Mondays 3/14, 3/21, 3/28, 4/4, 4/25, 5/2
Time: 4:05-5:00pm
Who: Grades 2-5
Cost: $165

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Are you obsessed with the world of Harry Potter? Do you wish you had Harry’s powers or Hermione’s spells? Would you like to make your own magic wand, Firebolt flying broom, and golden snitch? Math World – Out of the Box

Do you love brain-teasers? Do you enjoy math challenges? Are you an “out-of-the-box” thinker who is motivated? If you love math, building, math games, & contests, make sure to sign up for the Math World enrichment program, an opportunity to learn creative problem solving in mathematics with your peers. We will focus on flexibility in problem-solving, intuition, and strategies for approaching math challenges. This class will foster effective approaches to creative problem-solving based on the teachings of George Lenchner. Taking the fall portion of this class is not a prerequisite to this version. This version is open to GRADE 3 as well.

Make your own kaleidoscopes

Do you love painting and crafts? Do you love art and design? Have you ever looked into a kaleidoscope? Would you like to create your own kaleidoscopes to take home? In this class, you will make multiple kaleidoscopes that will brighten up your home and have amazing pieces of your own artwork to look at! So, grab your paint brush and creativity hat. Sign up now!

Game Board Design

Students will have fun designing and creating their own board games using a real game board, dice, spinner, pawns, game money and more! Instructor: Mrs. Stone and Ms. Koroleva
